Quarterback
Top Projected Owned: Brock Purdy, Bo Nix, Jameis Winston, Russell Wilson
My Conviction Plays: Brock Purdy, Jared Goff, Jameis Winston, Russell Wilson, Drake Maye
This is a pretty tight slate across the board, with little value to speak of similar to Week 10. Week 10 featured pretty tight ownership in a few spots and I’m expecting that theme to stick in Week 11.
Purdy was the clear play last week, and I think the same holds true in Week 11 with this team needing to play motivated football. San Francisco finds themselves outside of the current play-off picture and with a full healthy complement of weapons we can safely look at Purdy as top play once again.
Both Jameis Winston and Bo Nix are viable in the $5K tier and can be used in all formats.
My favorite tournament plays this week are Russ Wilson and Jared Goff.
Wilson has been hyper-efficient since taking over as the starting QB and I think there’s a chance this game completely pops off tomorrow. Baltimore has struggled to defend the pass this season – and are allowing the most Air Yards on completions in football. This is great news for Wilson – who wants to push the ball down field to George Pickens and Mike Williams. This total sits at 48.5 and I won’t be shocked if it’s the highest scoring game on Sunday.
As for Goff, I think in small-field contests we can consider an onslaught with this Lions offense via a triple stack. There aren’t many great games and there’s no loose pricing so hitting on the team that scores the most points could be all you need and Detroit is the leader in the clubhouse with a 30.5 team total. Jacksonville has been horrific on defense and I want to buy into a bounceback game from Goff back at home in Detroit.
Running Back
Top Projected Owned: Alvin Kamara, Christian McCaffrey, De’Von Achane, Breece Hall, Jahmyr Gibbs
My Conviction Plays: Alvin Kamara, Christian McCaffrey, De’Von Achane, Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, David Montgomery, Rhamondre Stevenson, Audric Estime, Najee Harris
Much like last week, ownership is settling on the expensive options due to their current workloads and there’s very few value options to choose from.
Alvin Kamara, Christian McCaffrey and De’Von Achane are all strong options and cash game builds will likely feature all three of them while utilizing the cheaper WRs. Kamara is tough to avoid for me given his workload and I also think this is a potential ceiling spot for Achane. He should continue to be more involved in the passing game while mixing in for carries. McCaffrey is viable in all formats and can be used as a stacking partner with Purdy as well.
Bijan Robinson looks the strongest tourney option to me given the performances we’ve seen from him recently. He’s priced alongside those chalk options but can be used as a pivot off one of them due to the ownership differential. He also is my preferred run-back in a Bo Nix stack.
I also like using Najee Harris on any non-Russ stack. He easily could steal the touchdowns and has a pass catching ceiling of the game gets cooking.
Audric Estime is viable in large-field only as a punt option.
I also want to note that I am fine including Gibbs or Montgomery on a Goff stack, but would prefer Gibbs in that scenario while utilizing Monty on a non-Goff team for leverage purposes.
Wide Receiver
Top Projected Owned: Puka Nacua, Kayshon Boutte, Jakobi Meyers, George Pickens, Cedric Tillman, Deebo Samuel
My Conviction Plays: Amon-Ra St. Brown, George Pickens, Cedric Tillman, Jauan Jennings, Courtland Sutton, Khalil Shakir, Elijah Moore, Devaughn Vele, Zay Flowers
As I noted above, we are going to see heavy ownership concentration at the WR position in the mid-tier + Kayshon Boutte at the low-tier. I’m completely fine building that way for cash games, but my GPP teams will be built upon my stacks / mini-correlations and I’ll highlight a few of those spots below + anyone I see as one-off viable.
Amon-Ra St. Brown is my favorite WR on the board this week and I want to be aggressive with him on Goff teams and on non-Goff teams. Sam Laporta is out, and the Jags have been absolutely cooked in the passing game and by opposing WRs this season. Jared Goff will have a much better game at home vs his 5 INT disaster on the road vs the Texans last Sunday night, and I’m expecting St. Brown to potentially have his biggest game of the season thus far.
Baltimore has struggled to defend the pass as well, and can be beaten with long balls. This is a huge plus for George Pickens who I think is viable in all formats this week as a one-off or in a stack with Wilson. You can also consider Mike Williams in larger-field contests.
Both Cedric Tillman and Elijah Moore stick out to me on DK with the Saints secondary still thin after trading Marshon Lattimore. Tillman has shown a massive ceiling since Winston took over at QB, but I like Moore as a cheap play. Both can be used as correlation plays with Kamara or Taysom Hill.
You can stack Purdy with any of Jauan Jennings, Deebo Samuel or Ricky Pearsall. Deebo feels due for a blowup game given how quiet he’s been and I’m pretty positive we will get a good own% number on him this week. Jennings has been ascending since Aiyuk went down and quietly ranks top-10 overall in YPRR this season. He can be used in all formats, while Deebo is a GPP-only option on Sunday.
Tight End
Top Projected Owned: Davis Allen, Dawson Knox, Travis Kelce
My Conviction Plays: Davis Allen, Dawson Knox, Travis Kelce, Taysom Hill, Brock Wright
If you needed any further evidence of the current state of TE fantasy production – look no further than Davis Allen chalk week. Allen is athletic, and taken over as the Rams lead TE resulting in a huge own% number given that DK left him at minimum price. He played nearly 90% of the snaps in Week 10, and with how hard chalk TE’s have been smashing this season I find it hard to avoid this salary.
For tournaments, I once again will be heavily invested in Taysom Hill with the Saints in the same injury situation they have been. Chris Olave remains out, while Jamaal Williams will miss again as well. Hill will continue to operate as the second back behind Kamara, but mix in more heavily in the passing game as well. New Orleans ran a designed play for him early last week that would have gone for a touchdown if not called back for a clear hold. I think you can play him together with Kamara in small-field contests too.
Wright won’t be owned given the presence of Allen, but can certainly be used as a pivot to him on your Goff teams with Sam Laporta out.
